Sharing your songs...

Now that you have a recording of the song(s) you've written, you would probably want to find someone to listen to it and give you some feedback. Well, I could be wrong, but I've found that the fastest and least embarrassing way to go about it is to post it online, inform your listeners, and let them listen to it at their leisure and convenience. If they like your song and/or have some feedback to offer, they will probably send you an email.

There are a number of sites (Christian and secular) where you can upload your songs and share it with others. Most of these sites have features like "Most popular songs", "Most Popular charts", or "Top Ten Charts" etc, derived from the number of votes by listeners/users, or the number of times the songs have been played in a day.  Posting your songs in some of these sites may also mean that your songs are heard by people from other countries, who may like your songs and want to use them in their churches.

The first place you should send your songs to is HERE! MCSN! Through the MCSN Soundclick Station, it is our prayer that Malaysian Christians will be aware of what's available "from within", and that Malaysian churches will begin using more locally written songs in our worship services. At this point, it is probably true that many anointed songwriters are only known in their home churches, and their songs sung only in their own churches. It is time to bless the rest of the churches in our nation with our songs.  That is one of the main reasons why this website was created. I've also been told of some local songwriters who've made an impact touching lives in other countries, but are practically unknown to his fellow countrymen. It's time we get to know these songwriters, to encourage and acknowledge them.

Sites to share your songs...MCSN...

We are using www.soundclick.com to stream the songs. You can email your song(s) (preferably in mp3, 128kbps) to mcsn_05@yahoo.com and we will create a soundclick site on your behalf, and upload your song(s). We will then send you your login information so you can manage your own site and upload more songs if you choose to. Please provide us with your full name, a write-up of yourself (to be used for the main artist page), the lyrics to your song(s), copyright information, a picture of you (optional), and if you want to, you can also include a brief description of the song and/or the story behind the song. If you have a website, do let us know, and we can list your website and email for others to contact you. The songs will be copyrighted to your name.

Option 2
If you choose to, you can also create your own soundclick site, and we will stream your songs from your page. It's pretty easy to sign up. If you choose to do this, write to us at mcsn_05@yahoo.com and provide us with your details so we can make the link.
